Marcus Lagergren
Hi, I’m Marcus. I am a Runtime and Platform Engineer at xqizit and work on improving the technology stack for the Ecstasy language and xqizit, including on the IDE, platform language support, simplifying platform adoption and on devops architecture (for my sins 😅).
I joined the team because I liked xqizit's unique technological vision which will much improve efficiency, affordability, and environmental sustainability in our industry. I also run my own consulting company, through which I provide software development and investment advice and services.
I am a Java Champion and started working with Java since it’s v1.0 beta release in 1996. Since, I have been a co-founder or early contributor to a range of startups, working on all aspects of the JVM and VM internals, like JIT compilers, hardware architectures, pauseless GC, and hypervisor-only VMs. I also worked on Java 8 and dynamic languages on the JVM.
More recently, I led technology direction and teams in Fintech, where my understanding of the full vertical - from high-level architecture down to silicon, has been proven valuable in solving a range of complex challenges.
